The Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly , Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye says the 7th Assembly is not out to simply endorse budget estimate figures presented by various government establishments in a passive manner. Aribasoye who received members of the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission, EKSIEC on a courtesy visit to his office on Monday, pointed out that the Ekiti assembly has been painstaking to ensure figures and estimates presented to relevant committees were screened to ensure budget performance and alignment with current realities. The Speaker maintained that any budgetary request that failed to align with the transformational visions of the current administration would be declined and denied. The Chairman of EKSIEC ,Retired Justice Cornelius Akintayo who was accompanied by senior officials in the commission emphasized the importance of synergy among arms of government and support by citizens if the state must get to desired towering heights.
