EKHA SPEAKER ARIBASOYE BAGS EKSU DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS AWARD, SAYS INSTITUTION PART OF HIS SUCCESS STORY The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye has been conferred with the distinguished alumnus award of the Ekiti State University, EKSU. The award which took place in Abuja on Sunday had other recipients including the Governor of Ekiti, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji; Senate Leader and Life Patron EKSU Alumni Association, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, and Ekiti State First Lady, Olayemi Oyebanji among other alumni and friends of EKSU. At the event organised in acknowledgment of the inputs and impacts of the honorees, the recipients expressed delight for the honour bestowed on them. The Ekiti Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aribasoye described the award as an encourager and a catalyst that would spur him to do more exploits. "To whom much is given, much is expected. I'm encouraged by this, I will definitely strive to do more of the good works that attracted this." Aribasoye assured. He linked his leadership prowess to his school background adding that EKSU impacted him positively especially through the platforms where he was able to display his capacity and capability. "I can trace my leadership journey to my days in the university as one time President, Faculty of Law Students Society and later the Chairman, Transition Committee of the Students Union Government." The Speaker recalled. The venue of the award was stormed by lawmakers from the Ekiti State House of Assembly who the Speaker described as very supportive and effective colleagues. " My appreciation goes to members of Ekiti State House of Assembly who came in their large numbers which attest to the unity that exists among us. This is equally owing to Mr Governor's support by providing enabling environment for the house to operate." Rt. Hon Aribasoye noted. The wife of the Speaker, Mrs Adenike Aribasoye who is also an alumna of the institution and other well meaning personalities joined Rt. Hon. Aribasoye at the noble event.
