YOU ADDED VALUE TO LEGISLATIVE SERVICE, EKITI SPEAKER LAUDS RETIRING CLERK, ESAN. ....Charges new Clerk to be aboveboard The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye has described the immediate past Clerk of the House of Assembly, Mr. Tola Esan as a pace setter and an astute administrator who has raised the bar of service in the state legislature. Aribasoye who presided over a special valedictory plenary held in Esan's honour congratulated him on his retirement noting that he exemplified dedication, commitment and humility throughout his period of service. He said his efforts in adding value to legislative service in Ekiti State and his leadership style will not be forgotten in a hurry urging other staff members to take a cue from the excellence displayed by the former clerk. In his response, Mr. Esan, appreciated the Speaker, lawmakers and the entire workforce of the legislative service for the honour accorded him. He counselled the staff of the assembly to embrace teamwork and prioritize quality service delivery adding that they must assist lawmakers in the delivery of their mandate. He described the bureaucrats as a major pillar of support to his career actualization. In the meantime , the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aribasoye has announced the appointment of Mr Opeyemi Ajibola as the Acting Clerk of the House with a charge to him to be aboveboard. Barr. Ajibola whose appointment takes effect from the 1st of June is from Otun Ekiti in Moba Local Government was the Deputy Clerk Legal before his new appointment. Ajibola joined the legislative service as a Senior Legislative Counsel in the Legislative Drafting and Legal Services Department of Ekiti State House of Assembly in October, 2011.
